So, uhm, I am having trouble getting there. After circling the area for some 40 min, I don't see where I should go to proceed.

I ended up referring to a guide but a fork in the road is mentioned which I don't see on my screen. There is only one line of road and our MC won't step to the side of it, and she also just stops when she reaches the far right end of the screen.

The guide also said that the sound puzzle you are supposed to solve to get there isn't present in the Steam version of the game, so I am wondering if this could just be bugged?

I already encountered one bug that almost shut down by play-through completely but it, thankfully, went away when I came back to it the next day.
