I can tell you that there are plenty of games from that time period that will just not work on Windows 10, or will randomly work on some computers with Windows 10 and not others. If you have an old computer lying around with Windows 7 or lower, that may be your best bet. And of course some people make a Virtual Box with Windows XP inside it.
There is a preset in the "export" folder of the program, which ypu can "Import..." in the tool.
