so, what is this game more like
xcom, final fantasy tactics, or any other close to the gameplay?

"The game requires a network connection so you won’t be able to access the game during maintenance."
Taken from your news text.
Does this mean this single player game is always online to play?

All of your company and colleague information is stored in database. So yes, online is always necessary.

well, I mean, final fantasy tactics is way different than xcom even if they are turn based.

For example xcom have base building and tech trees with no fixed characters and much more depth of weapons, coverture system etc.

I really like what I see, but I needed a bit more info about the game before jump

never played it, but aren't FF games just jrpg where there is no map to move between turns? Just static in front of an enemy taking turns but without squares and so?

Party Members
Hi devs. I've been following you guys for over a year. Is Giselle still recruitable?

http://www.indiedb.com/games/troubleshooter/news/troubleshooter-new-troubleshooter-has-arrived

Also, are Training Documents easily obtained? I'm a little hesitant to equip weak masteries on my party if the training documents needed to remove them are very rare.

Thanks.

It's like xcom but I have not encountered base building.

Hi, It's good to see you again in Steam.

Of course Giselle will be one of your colleague. But not in near future. In devs team, Giselle is one of the most wanted colleagues. So don't worry. Giselle will be yours someday.

why is that a thing for a single player?

I fail to see a reason to punish the customer doing that and not allowing to play offline when there are no online features at all.

I just purchased it and a read this later, don't like it at all.

If you read through the store page, the devs mention the game will eventually have online multiplayer pvp and coop. So I'd say having the data server side is fair enough, considering the possibility of cheating. Although, it would be a nice QOL feature to have offline-singleplayer for people uninterested in the multiplayer aspects.

A pity. Since I'm not interested in any future multiplayer features, I can't justify buying a single-player game that requires to be played online. Sounds more like always online DRM than anything else.

You should be more clear about that in the game's requirements.

xcom have mp and doesn't need to have anything on the server. Unless is a persistent mmo world there is no reason to have that.

It's early access and still being developed so who knows how it will end up. No point sweating it yet. Just give them feedback and see. I noticed someone mentioned replayable missions in a recent post and that looks like it is being added to the update that's running now.
