Short, Sweet, and to the point, but a little more repetitive than you'd think.

The Pedestrian is a puzzle platformer based around the idea of being able to shift the level around your character, but being unable to break connections between pieces of the level once used. This is dressed up with you playing as a 2D stick man on signs and pages of the real world. The focus of your view will always be very close to these signs, so you're not getting a great view of the wider world, but what you do see is fun and interesting.

This game is fun, and the puzzles are good, but nothing really makes this game stand out until the very end. The very end of this game is one of those moments that recontextualizes the rest of the game and makes for a very memorable experience. Unfortunately, the rest of the game leading up to this is pretty standard, if competent.

This is a pretty short experience, and there is nothing to earn or find outside of completing the game itself. On top of that, in spite of it's short run time, this game repeats the same level structure enough to begin to be boring. It doesn't ruin the experience, it just sours an otherwise good game.

Also, the very last puzzle has you dealing with an impassable, "check's notes", thin rope. If you're going to make something impassable, at least make it look like it's impassable.

TLDR: Good game, more puzzle game than anything else, but the end is the real highlight. It doesn't overstay it's welcome, but becomes more repetitive than novel sooner than you'd think.

A very clever and cute little puzzle game. Took my time and finished it in a bit over 4 hours.
