I bought this popular Planescape Torment game, i hope i didn't make a mistake and bought Planescape Delight or something... So, is there any torment in this game or not?

I bought the game on Steam, installed it and when I try to start it, nothing happens, I get a message that the game is starting and then it disappears and that's it. Any ideas on how to fix this??

I've been meaning to try to get in to some other kind of cRPG sort of thing, but I tend to fizzle out. I've only played the most casual titles I can think of for the genre: Dragon Age, Baldur's Gate 3, Divinity Original Sin 1 + 2. I've started Pathfinder: Kingmaker but quit pretty early on. I put over 60 hours into Pillars of Eternity 1 but got annoyed/frustrated by the combat system so I never finished it. I own BG1 and 2 but never tried 'em. I'm not sure what I'm even really looking for in a game...

Is that so hard to do, or what? I've escaped this fine establisment with ease, and i'm not even a good gamer

I just finished the game as a mage but never got to use many of the spells I learnt. I think it is possibly because I somewhere lost the bronze sphere but I wasn't able to use spells beyond level 5 and because of choices I barely used some of those. Is that normal?...
