Achievement still bugged: Only the Best - Bought All Upgrades
Are there any known work arounds for achievements that don't pop? The 'Only the Best' achievement is about to be my final remaining achievement for 100% completion, and I can't get it to pop after completing every skill tree to max. I think the flare gun was the final upgrade but the achievement did not pop.

After an amazing 200+ hours in wildlands and completing narco roads and fallen ghosts I'd like to complete this 100% but this bugged achievement stands in the way of that. I don't know if I have it in me to start another play through and grind out the levels and experience to re-level the entire skill tree.

This game was built on which OS?

It is not the game! Just what you are attempting to run it with!

I would try starting a second character in regular campaign, and collect skills and take some 5k convoys. Once you unlock the ability to check the flare skills, I would focus on maxing those out. You might not have to get everything completely unlocked again, just being level 10 or whatever may do it. It's worth a try and only a few hours of your time if it's something you want to achieve. If you get it and this works, let us know. We're nerds for this $hit. I wouldn't even bother with intel or anything- https://guides4gamers.com/ghost-recon-wildlands/map/bolivia/
Thanks Mala. I think that's probably the only real option at this point.

I have started another character to test this. I'll report back once I get the flare unlocked and see if that helps trigger it.

Cheers,

There is some weird stuff that was never ironed out right in this game. When I beat ghost mode for the first time, it never gave me my 3000 prestige credits. Another common bug with things not registering right is when people do the dailies and save blue points to buy weapons packs that unlock things permanently for you. If you already picked weapons and attachments up on the map, they are not included in the unlock. You have to start a new character and not grab anything yet, then use the points to buy the packs you want. That sinking feeling when you do the dailies for a few months every day and buy all the packs from the store, but when you start a new character and find out most of the stuff never unlocked... If you even went through the trouble of completing everything in Narco Road, you more than deserve the 100% Steam achievement.
Yeah it's just frustrating after having 100% completed Narco Road and Fallen Ghosts (which I quite enjoyed).

I started a new character, leveled to 10 and maxed out skill points to flare gun and no unlock...sigh.

Sh1tballs. That sucks it didn't work. One of the skills glitched for this to have happened. Unlocking them all would mean rerunning an entirely new character through every skill again, which requires a metric f-ton of resources and the skill points to go with them. And there is still no guarantee it will even work. Despawning 5k convoys with a gatling heli in a big loop in the NW region of the map works quickly. If the convoy has an escort helicopter, minigun it, then damage the main truck just enough to stop it(about 25% health left). Leave the other escorts alone. Stay at least 300m away. Then back off at least 700m, but I would recommend 850m for consistency, then fly back in and the convoy should be empty. Tag it and move to the next one. Occasionally, the convoy does not despawn enemies, keep your eyes peeled on those escorts when coming back in :) You probably already know you get more resources once you hit tier mode, and it's based on the average tier of the squad. So your resources can vary between 5,000 and 17, 250 per truck. In ghost mode, the 50% bonus to everything means even without tier mode, those 5K trucks are worth 7500 resources each. While ghost mode can be frustrating, where simply getting erased by a speeding civilian or having a helicopter glitch out and send you up into an overhead cliff, can end your character, unlocking all the skills there may do it. Then again, you may be biting your knuckles and carefully working your way through a real sh1tfest, and it still won't give it to you. Sometimes, I grab a car and a friend and we go do rolling convoys, which is an art form in itself. You can accumulate a ton of resources in a couple hours while just talking nonsense and murdering everything. But remember, only 1/2 the resources for a dead truck. It sounds like you already invested more time in the game than you intended, it really sucks when things don't work the way they should.

I'm not sure if this will work on a new character. I had the entire game completed, the entire map explored, all items found. I was missing a few achievements. For all missions, for items, for skills, medals, legends. I solved it. I turned off the cloud in Ubisoft, deleted the save game from my computer and started a new game, and unfortunately I had to do everything again, but I unlocked everything that was broken.
You only lack a skill tree, focus only on that. Don't unlock everything at once, buy an upgrade, play for a while and buy another one.

Sure beats doing it in Ghost mode lmao. I like the idea in the other thread about keeping your old save for reinstating it after you do enough on a new one to unlock the challenge. The cloud save is easy enough to turn off on Ubi Connect, but for at least the last 2 weeks, I have noticed cloud saves are not working anyways? I would temporarily disable them though, exactly as Lecho suggests in his linked thread.

Cloud saves and deleting the save from your computer ensures that the old save won't conflict with the new one. The old one can be corrupted and cause further errors. I preferred to start a completely new game.
Good luck.
