This is an UBI game. SO, UBI SERVICE is required.
Your "UBI friends" can still join. Regardless of which 2nd party they bought it from.
Match making was removed a few years back.
Epic is basically the same thing as Ubisoft Connect, Epic doesn't sell special builds of Ubisoft games the way Steam does. Both Epic, Ubisoft Connect and Steam are exactly the same platform, which is PC. So obviously kazuri will be able to play Wildlands with his friend.
Meanwhile Epic Games Store sells THE SAME VERSIONS of Ubisoft games, because Epic is not as greedy as Valve and allows publishers to sell DLCs outside EGS store. That's why Ghost Recon Wildlands from EGS store doesn't have special marks inside Ubisoft Connect launcher and uses the same save folder Ubi Connect Wildlands is using - 1771. Because it's basically THE SAME GAME just sold from another launcher. You can even launch it and install it through Ubisoft Connect alone ignoring EGS launcher (although some DLCs might not work in some games that don't download the entire build like, let's say, Assassin's Creed: Syndicate). You can't do that with Steam versions, Steam is 100% required, Steam handles all installations!
So yet again RMJ you demonstrated that you have absolutely no idea about the stuff you're talking about here on these forums, but have an audacity to tell people that they're wrong AGAIN!
GR:Wildlands does not support cross-platform multiplayer, meaning a Steam user and an Epic Games user cannot join the same game session, even if they have the game.
-> But Steam users can play with UbisoftConnect players as long as you have them on your friendlist (because Matchmaking doesn´t work anymore -- game support ended long ago)

So Fortnite, all the Unreal Tournament games, Robo Recall, Shadow Complex, Dauntless, Gears of War and Paragon just never existed eh?
For an angry grown ass man who's trying to say people are wrong, you sure do say a lot of dumb and incorrect ♥♥♥♥ lmao.
When purchasing PC Ubisoft games through an approved retailer, such as Epic Games or Steam, you can access locale or online multiplayer modes with your Ubisoft Connect friends.
Ubisoft didn't divide anything at all, I bought several Ubisoft games through EGS (because they sold worldwide versions there with all language packs), they all worked as usual PC versions you can buy directly through Ubisoft Connect! I played Far Cry 4 with my friend (he has Ubisoft Connect copy) through GFN cloud service launching my Far Cry 4 both as EGS game and as Ubisoft Connect game, ZERO ISSUES! Coop worked as usual in both cases.
Meaning you can't play with console players.
Sent you a friend request on here. I'd be interested in playing some co op!
Hey! I’m in GMT+5:30. I usually play on Fridays and Saturdays from 8 PM to 12 AM with two of my friends. If you’d like to join us, just send me a message
Okay, sounds great! Do I add you through Ubisoft Connect?
sure
