No more updates (all updates and DLC's were released free of charge a few months back)
Is it worth it? Again, relative and subjective - but HELL YEAH!!
GhostRecon:FutureSoldier was just ok.. quite short.
SplinterCell:Blacklist is definitely more my cup of tea.. replayed the hell out of it
Also I like both the newer TombRaider and Hitman -series.
It was definitely one of the best 5 games I ever bought in last 25years
Ofc I miss some Modding options or adjustments, but that´s the engineer in me
If there is a Wildlands2 I´d definitely play CB and go Playtester again.. mostly to give some advice on the AI scripts. Some UBIsoft engineers had great ideas (it shows when you test a lot for hundreds of hours), but it´s sad the company moved on with the "2 years (Release+DLCs), then maintenance"-cycle they established. Wildlands has a few k concurrent players daily (for years), with smart concept it could be 20k+ easily.. smaller companies would get jealous, but UBIsoft does not capitalize on it.
Well, now 4 digits playtime in Wildlands and I even came to enjoy NarcoRoad lately (for the most part, as it turned out clearing the map takes much longer than doing extensive playthrough with 70% content clear.. lol).
Still hunting the last 15 items, that shows replayability is tailored for 2-3years at least
And regarding STORE + MTX.. best shop UBIsoft implemented so far.. also the most fair together with Division2 Shop
Sadly, Breakpoint was a HUGE step back..
But WILDLANDS.. the only game in last 5 years I would buy lifetime membership
-> Mindblowing, but also raised the bar for AAA games. The only game that will top it a bit is AVATAR next year.. with the most modern version of the UBIsoft-engine. Too bad it´s planned as first person
Thank you for your elaborate report. This has realy helpt me. Tanks.

The SALE for Uplay and Steam is just over. Next should be Halloween and Christmas.
But you can just check Keyshops - the good ones can activate directly in STEAM/UPLAY aka extended marketing arm of Ubisoft.
Generally Uplay-version is cheaper.. ULTIMATE ~30-40€.. for Steam-version wait for sale or buy step by step. Steam Gold-version ~20€ is good.
*laughs hysterically in Machiavellian*
Without hesitation it's a worthy game. Fifty Euro, well, yes, but no ... but Steam regularly have it discounted -- unless you're from Moldova or something, and with that name, we'll assume not -- you should be able to pick it up for twenty. Just wait for a sale.
I'll go along with wespe___o=/:*, it's an exceptional game that has kept me busy for hundreds of hours, and ranks easily in my top 10 most-played games of all time (which also includes the earliest GR).
That thing crashed unceremoniously after just one hour. I'll admit I was marginal before I bought it, but the crash was enough to tip the balance. Never played it since.
Should have gotten a refund, frankly. *taps chin thoughtfully*
FYI the game goes on sale quite often and when it does you can get the base game for like 5 dollars or maybe it was 10 or 15 dollars i dont remember. I've even seen some of the DLC go for free.
2. I recommend getting it half off during a steam sale, it’s worth it 100%.
3. Technically it does lower value due to inflation, so lowering values of older games isn’t that necessary tbh.
I think newer games are like 60 USD now, this was 50 USD (-50% sale) when I got it. So it’s worth what a 2017 game should be still, but the graphics and stuff are all pretty good, though I can’t play at top settings with my computer.
Not anymore, but it doesn’t bother me. They updated it for a few years until a sequel was released, (which I don’t have and can’t judge, but the consensus I hear is ‘it’s worse’), and can’t be obtained on steam. But it’s still a finished game now imo, maybe unless they wanted to fix bugs — which some people complain about but I don’t encounter super often — the game doesn’t really need anything else. The only real complaints I have are minor.
Over 1,100 hours currently, no DLC, only about ~70 were multiplayer, the rest was single player.
100%.
