But miracles do exist, as I was able to make the game work again. Still a blast.
Dev, if you're still around, know that some of us will always dream for a sequel !
It still has some of the old bugs too, like getting your leader's team survival stat to 99% for the whole team and it STILL kills off your best guys with the best guns. That was getting really annoying.
Also I don't know why but defenses were barely killing any enemies in that last game I had, even when I was only building level 3 workshops and training centers while also having all kinds of turrets. I'm not sure but I think I read long ago that you can pretty much just set production to mines only and it is more effective than producing any turrets.
Yeah losing your members like that do suck. There’s a trick I sometimes use if that member was really important and breaks a long game, you just have to go back to the main menu before the barricade is destroyed. Upon reloading, it starts back at the beginning of the round.
I also have a question, would you by chance know if the training centers effect stack or, is one enough?
Training centers do stack. I think any bonus from buildings stack without limit.
I still never completed the campaign. The "end game with 500 mines" mission is stupid because you would pretty much need all workshop buildings by the end AND hope that the zombies don't attack for a turn, and maybe other bonuses that lower defense costs.
The trick for combat is to get legendary weapons. You will almost always EVENTUALLY find one for your type, and even the low level ones are great. You can get the revolver from the early boss guy from the crypt option. Otherwise, you'll have to rely on summoning merchants and increasing merchant storage for a better chance of seeing one.
