theres a plugin on github called bridgesource2plugin when u select an asset and export it it litteraly compilies and puts ur models and materials in the right directories without u needing to use the model and material editor so that u can use them directly in hammer u can even add ur custom assets to bridge then use the export method for automatic implementation to hammer but the problem is that the plugin was made using hl alyx directories structures so somebody has to edit it to make it work here...

How the hell do i use destinations? I dont have vive controllers but i do have an xbox controller. I plugged it in and opened the VR dashboard like the prompt said. but i dont see how interact with any of this? and theres no instructions at least none i can find....

After Jam Session was released, I had great success with some sports related maps (primarily baseball and golf), and I was able to attach baseball bat and golfclub models to the hand and had good interaction physics as well (could hit a ball 100s of feet with both). Sometime between then and now though, the physics of items replacing the hand models has changed. I have been away from the tools for a few months and tried to jump back into it today and instead of being able to make normal contact as before,...

i've been smashing my head against the wall for the past couple of hours trying to make some music start after a trigger event, i can manage with regular sounds but the custom music just won't start. i tried both .mp3 and .wav, i've tried placing the files in pretty much any available locations, i've tried anything that i can think of. it just won't start no matter what. Anyone happens to know how to do it? (i followed the wiki instructions to no avail)...

I wrote a Python script to automate part of converting materials to Source 2. It takes .vmt files and outputs them as .vmat files into the same directory. It doesn't support that many material parameters, but it should work on most simple materials that don't masks or fancy shading, and you can use it as a starting point for importing more complicated materials. Note that the converter only works on material scripts, it doesn't export the actual textures, instead it sets the texture path to look for .tga...
