If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. I used to be able to play this game at least up to a year ago. But now the launcher works fine but when I then click "run game" I get a black screen for about 2 seconds then return to desktop. No error message. I've tried all the compatibility settings (administrator, disabling full screen optimisations etc), GOG and steam versions, running the activate.exe, making sure the wings of prey folder exists in both documents and in one drive document...

After clicking on play it turns to the spot button and then goes back to the play button..... And then nothing.......... WTF????

Whenever I launch the game I can only see a brief second of some kind of launcher that instantly closes. Tried verifying the files still doesn't work. I know the multiplayer has shut down but I assume I should still be able to play the game, right? Solution: Create a "Wings of Prey" folder under "my games" C:\ ... \Documents\My Games\Wings of Prey...

Hello there All these years later and this is still a fun simcade, and suits the Steamdeck really well imho. for sheer flight fun and pretties, I still don't know a more entertaining ww2 combat game, il2 and DCS are deeper but much to serious for console play and WT is just too p2w for my tastes. this is scratching my flight itch when I'm not up to booting up the Big PC. no probs running it on my deck and although some tweaking is needed, any flight sim buff can handle it.
