Thanks for the message, and sorry to hear the game is running like that for you. With that kind of hardware, you definitely shouldn't be experiencing stuttering every few steps.
The best thing would be to hop onto our Discord. We can take a closer look at what's going on, go through the details, and try to figure something out. We want the game to run as smoothly as possible, especially for returning players. Really appreciate you reaching out.

This issue that Microcosm talks about has been like this since the release of the game.
Some stuff has become better over the years, but i have also upgraded my system twice over during the years since release and the game also micro pauses each time we cross boundaries for the next area to load.
I know that each time i cross the rail road tracks from town to the blacksmith or vice vera, the game pauses then continues.
I can help ya there. Theres nothing to do about it. Its worse on Hdd, better on SSD, best on Nvme. The game was designed with checkerboard as per say as we had such tehnologies back in 2018. This is that old of a game. Square chunks glued together. As you are in one of those its a seperate world.
Once you move to another you load into a new one. The game needs to be recoded for it to go away. You could use a diffrent "glue" but that would involve manhours and also recoding.
Best solution is to accept it and wait for GM2.
Your game has sever issues with this causing major frame time / stutters.
Aka, DONT TALK ABOUT OUR GAMES BAD PERFORMANCE ON PUBLIC FORUMS WHERE NEW BUYERS MIGHT SEE IT, AND WHERE WE CANT MODERATE IT AND REMOVE IT!!!!!!!
We value open and honest discussions with our community, as they help us grow and improve the game. We believe in open, transparent feedback and respectful dialogue. The Discord invite is simply meant to provide faster, more direct support from our team, who can take a closer look at any issues
Not trying to contradict prior posts, just a thought..
