The resources in this game are used to unlock scenes with characters. If you look at the screenshot that shows the weekend scene-choice, it shows the requirements for the next scene with each character. You build up those resources and then spend them to view the scene. So if a scene needs 5 Belief, you have to earn 5 Belief doing activities, and then when you play that scene you spend it and your Belief goes back down by 5.
It's a fairly simple system to let you structure how you spend your time. You don't get endings based on those resources, and there's no 'adventuring'. The endings are entirely based on which character's route you're pursuing. It's really much more of a visual novel.
Hope this helps.

boooo, I just downloaded the demo because the screen shots actually reminded me of princess maker (which I really miss!!!!!)
it's really nice to see more games from you guys, keep up the good work (ahem magicaldiarysequal ) the art work in this one is lovely :)
And I can't wait for Princess Maker 4 and 5 in english. Hopefully we will get the full version of 4, with the yuri endings intact.
(And I wouldn't mind a future Cute Knight game with the ALLP artwork, and more yuri romances... all of the yuri romances!
