Are you sure you read it to the end? I doubt there'd be separate endings with one stopping right there.
They're supposed to actually take off their masks but find that the gas is gone, which then proceeds to Oleg stepping off the roof. Also, I never mentioned Oleg stepping back off the ledge.
No suicide. No hint of possible suicide (except for earlier when they reach Moscow). No stepping off the roof. No ledges. No halluzinations anymore.
I have no idea what the OP is talking about. And yes, I read everything.
Alternative endings, I suppose.
