games like this?
I'm new to beat em ups, I guess the last game I can sort of compare this to is arkham knight. Using the terrain to fight enemies, it's interactive and alot of melee combat is used. There can be guns but their ammo is limited.

If you have access to an Xbox 360/PS3 (or their emulators), you might enjoy the Splatterhouse (2010) reboot. There aren't any guns (other than a shotgun that's rare), but otherwise it's very similar gruesome melee combat and interactive kills/executions. Can pick up just about anything in the levels and use it as a weapon.

Midnight Fight Express. It is a better version of Redeemer. Same camera, same blend hand to hand and limited guns/weapons. Just paced better, more varied enemies, and cooler.

also, not really a game like this, but i also enjoy synthetik o_O

also gotto name 1st god of war on ps2(emul works great) and (suddenly) viewtiful joe 2.
not really similar games, but i'm just talking about totally subjective VIBE i get
