I'm wondering the same, just heard about this "impossible" achievement, and yet some people do have it.

It is completely impossible yo achieve in game. To get it, you need to use an achievement editor. The idea is that there IS no place Where the Water Tastes Like Wine, so you can't get an achievement for getting there.

The point is that it's unobtainable. The only people who have it used thrid party achievement unlockers because God forbid they appreciate something different (or not have 100% on every game they own).

Its not that pretentious. Hell collecting all achievements and being proud about it is pretty stupid since you can just download an acheivement editor and get em all in one fell swoop.

Its all meant in good fun and the game wanted to tell a story. Nothing wrong here.

I can see both sides of it. I appreciate the idea that it can't be obtainable, but as a completionist, I hate the fact I can't get 100% on this game. So I'm torn between my love of symbolism and my love of completing it. That being said, it's hard on us folks who get a little twinge of discomfort when a thing SHOULD be accomplish-able and it isn't.

So if there is any legitimate way to get this, I would love to know.

They could've done it through a sort of in-game achievements and either not add achievements on Steam at all or only add those that are possible to get.

This would have been a decent work around, yes. I like the way you think on this.

Cheating your way into the achievement is a good way to show people you rather cheat than just play the game.
