To those having PC issues after closing Watch Dogs 2
So, I have seen some people have issues with their computer when they close Watch Dogs 2, such as it being slow, needing a hard reset and so on, but the game runs fine. I myself have this issue.

However, I believe I have found a solution to this issue. I do not know if this issue is fixed reguardless or not, but for now I thought it would be helpful to put it down anyway for others.

When you are playing Watch Dogs 2, open the task manager and find Watch Dogs 2 on it, and leave it be while you play. When you finish playing the game, DO NOT close it though the game, this seems to cause the issues, but rather find the Watch Dogs 2 .exe in Task Manager and kill the process. This'll close the game, and leave the computer running normally.

Again, I don't know if this issue is fixed or not, and I am not entirely sure if doing this will have negative effects in the long run, but it works for me atleast. Let me know if the issue has been fixed, or if this does have some bad impacts.

I thought this was just me! I had this exact issue last night, also I dont know if its related or not but my pc on startup sits on the motherboard screen longer than normal, I hope its not permanent. Its only started happening yesterday, the day after I started playing...

I don't know about that, the only issues I had was after Watch Dogs was closed. If it's after doing a reset from playing Watch Dogs, it might just be sorting itself out from the hard reset, but like I said, I haven't had that problem, atleast that I remember, so I can't help too much with that. Hopefully it's just a Watch Dogs thing.

or simply alt+f4 when you are done playing. quite to main menu, then alt+f4.

That...works too. Forgot ALT+F4 did the same thing.

I only have weird issues when alt-tabbed, like mouse cursor moving weird across the screen, no other game does that.

But no closing game/computer issues though.

Nearly had to reinstall windows after the last time I ran this game. Haven't touched it since. I dont want to risk it until I hear about a patch or resolution to the issue.
Good to know it's just not me though.

This is the first thing that comes up in a search engine search, Still, so I'm gonna necro to say that I also fixed it by swapping my Windows screen layout with Win+P to only use my secondary (actual main) monitor, and then swapped back to my dual-screen setup, and it acted normally without a restart.
