what is this?
found this when found a beacon, destroyed ship and container, in the container the item is and says :- purple writing unbound Q-n-D reconstruction kit.
can be bound to any ship
in blue writing *Craft not yet assigned.
use while inside craft
Turns into a bound reconstruction kit

What is this for?

It is the same as a regular reconstruction kit, but you can use it in one ship of your choice. Once you use it, it becomes "bound" to that ship, like a normal one would.

Useful when you forget to buy a QnD kit from a repair dock and do not want to fly the ship all the way back there.

Doesnt work, found a wreckage used it but nothing happened, the item dissapered.

It should have disappeared and turned into a bound reconstruction kit for the wreck.

It isn't for repairs, it is for reconstructing a destroyed ship. Claimable wrecks are not "destroyed".

It'll bind to the ship you're flying when you double click it.

Yes, any ship that you are flying. You can switch to flying any of your ships, then use it. Otherwise it can't know which ship you want to use it on.

Items are always used on your active ship.
