Now they work in a point mode, that is, to extract resources from something, the laser beam must precisely hit the target's hit box. It would be VERY cool if all emitters in the game worked in a diffuse mode, that is, formed a conical area. This would be especially useful for salvage lasers. I have seen mods that add cube penetration to lasers, mods that add mining missiles. But these are all crutches. Now for a comfortable game I use fighters, but they are not always effective. And lasers on the main ship, no matter how strong they are, are impractical.
