Grid2 on Steam deck not working
Grid2 used to work fine for me, but since some months not using The Steam deck now doesnt work. Tryied to verify The instalation, different protons but nothing helped. I was thinking reinstalling but The game seems to have being removed from The store and IS no more available to buy i believe. But what can i do i have The game and i want to install It back again? First i would like to know if theres a solution for not to reinstall ( game closes while The grid 2 initial screen).

If not, can i uninstall and install It back? Is somebody still playing The game on Steam deck without any issue?

I played it on my Steam Deck about a week ago without any issues. It worked out of the box for me, so maybe check if you've made any changes that might have broken the game for you since you last played it.

Also, even if the game was removed from the store, you can still install it at any time, so feel free to reinstall.

Thanks for answering. I'll try then to uninstall and reinstall

Could you run It again ? I tryied reinstalling but didnt work for me. Verifying The instalation says that 2 files are lost but i dont know how to reinstall them

The game isn't working for me on Steamdeck. Hopefully a fix can be found as the game runs brilliantly. I also play Dirt 3 which is superb on the deck and works with no issues.

Same issue here. Tested different Proton versions, but game won’t start after the „Updating executable“ message.

I tried it again today, and now it worked. No idea why.

It seems a random issue, maybe something is downloaded in the background and timed out or something like that. Restarting SD and verifying game data didn't change anything yesterday. I also tried different Proton versions and desktop mode.

In the end it works now with the default, stock Proton, just by trying it again the next day. :-)
