Character does not exist?
I come back after a break and whenever I try to connect with any of my characters it says they do not exist?!?

What bug is this, how broken is the game now?

Make sure you select the right region to find your character.

I have, I even checked on all regions, it is the only one with the characters, everything else is empty.
