Cannot rebind for an Index controller

As the title says, unable to rebind the buttons on an Index controller as none of it works. Despite what has been said in other discussions, the A button will not reload and I get stuck with and endless "I hope that gun of yours is loaded". Anyone have any success?

Follow up, reload works fine with the A button UNLESS you are in Left handed mode (which I am) and then it won't work and rebinding does nothing. The lack of support is ridiculous. If a company wishes to abandon a game, then the game should either be removed from being sold, or a BIG honking disclaimer at the sale screen.

Sadly, lots of older games have not been updated to include Index controller support, even though the store pages have "Index" listed as supported hardware.

I understand that is Steam's fault for stamping all Vive-ready games with the Index compatibility icon, but devs should at *least* get off their asses and either remove the compat. flag or make a sticky post about it.

Well that sucks ass. Here I am in 2021, finally got an Index along with a proper machine and the game hates us lefties lol. Welp, gonna find another shooter to play.
