How do you pause???

Am i missimg something or can you not pause the game or exit back to the main menu?

Im messing about with supersampling, but when im in game and its running like ♥♥♥ because SS is to high, i cant just quit to main manu and change the settings, i have to totally exit the game and load it back up again

What's the deal with this?

This driving me crazy too, the only way I've found is to completely quit out of the game. The 45 seconds of unskippable partner logos each time contributes to the frustration.

You can exit to main menu by bringing up the controller menu. Press and hold the left-hand thumbpad (or whichever hand you have the flashlight assigned to) to bring up the menu.
