Sandy's Quest Bugged Out? (Spoilers for Chimeric Empire)
It would seem that I may have inadvertently screwed myself out of being able to complete Sandy's quest and getting the key.

We went to dinner, dined and dashed, and she tells me there's a key up in Chimer - so far so good.

However, because I've already destroyed the Chimeric Empire and personally killed that homicidal nutcase the Ragged Emperor, it seems like I can't advance the quest anymore. There's no interaction for me in Chimer aside from the usual "Wander the Streets" event. I can't talk to Sandy about anything new and no new options are popping up.

Checked the wiki, no mention of this bug is made, but I guess it seems like you need to talk to the Ragged Emperor with Sandy to move forward, and since he's already gone I guess I'm out of luck.

Has anybody else found a workaround for this?

Well, looks like you got into one of many unexpected situations in this game. In general, there's manual save editing via Notepad or other soft. It's like an alchemy, use it on your own risk.
IIRC her quest is more about getting good reputation with Emperor early on (right from the start if you need) Can't remember if there's actually a key, there's another ways to get it. Aaand if my memory is not wrong, her quest is kinda bugged anyway - you can't finish it, there's no well defined conclusion for this story. Except that one with a bullet in a kneecap,which is adorable IMO. Sorry for bad English if so. ✌
