Raw Data FAQ
What do I need to play Raw Data?

Minimum system requirements:
  • OS: Windows 10
  • Processor: Intel i5-4590
  • Memory: 8GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 970
  • DirectX: Version 9.0
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Storage: 10GB available space

Recommended System requirements:
  • OS: Windows 10
  • Processor: Intel i7-4770
  • Memory: 16GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 980
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Storage: 10GB available space

Is Raw Data VR-only?

  • Yes. We built Raw Data from the ground up to be a VR Experience.

How much space do I need to play Raw Data?

  • HTC's recommended maximum distance between the Vive Lighthouses is five meters (16.4').
  • In our experiences with different playspaces, here are the sizes we've determined are workable: Minimum: 5'x 6.5' . Maximum: Diagonal area of 16 ft 4 in.

Will Raw Data have online multiplayer?

  • Yes- Raw Data Early Access launches with online co-op functionality.

Does Raw Data have a single-player mode?

  • Yes! The levels' difficulty scales to provide a fun--but not impossible--challenge.

Will Raw Data have more weapons/enemies/etc.?

  • Yes. We are actively working on new missions, heroes, weapons, defenses, enemies, and more. We will be pushing updates to Raw Data early access every two weeks. Find us on the Steam Community Hub for the most up-to-date news and discussions. Follow us on our social media channels (Twitter and Facebook[www.facebook.com]) and/or sign up for the official Raw Data newsletter[rawdatagame.com] for important news.

Will there be Raw Data DLC?

  • We have built Raw Data to support DLC. However, how much and how long we support the game with DLC (beyond the official launch) will depend on its success and reception from the community.


Will Raw Data have Linux support?

  • Right now, Raw Data does not support Linux. This is something we will be considering in the future.


Why is Raw Data not currently available for purchase in my country / region?

  • There are some countries such as China where we are still working out our distribution plans with potential partners, while taking into account localization and game design for users. We are working as quickly as we can to bring Raw Data to everyone. We appreciate your patience and support.

What inspired Raw Data?

  • We’re all huge sci-fi nerds and action aficionados, so naturally, that was the world we wanted to create for our first truly immersive VR gaming experience. We delved into our favorite literature and media to figure out what made these worlds so appealing to us. The result is Raw Data’s sleek Japanese cyberpunk atmosphere and Retro-modern aesthetic, which features a bold, bright, futuristic metropolis teeming with life both real and artificial. Combined with the action combat of the Hong Kong cinema style, we got a thrilling VR experience that scratches every itch.

What game engine does Raw Data use?


No Audio with Bluetooth Headphones

If you're playing the game with Bluetooth Headphones that have a built-in Mic and you have no audio, please try the following workarounds:
  • Under Playback devices in your Windows Sound Settings, you should see two devices enabled (Headset, Headphone). Disable / Uninstall the Headset device, then see if you receive audio through your headphones.
If the above workaround does not fix your issue, try the following:
  • Open up the SteamVR Settings and select the "Audio" tab.
  • Under the "When SteamVR is active" section, set Playback device to Headphones.
  • Under the "When SteamVR is exited" section, set Playback device to whatever your default audio device is.

Your FAQ needs updating regarding other HMD's ;)

PS Perhaps I'm overlooking it, but could you add a central place where you can provide 0.6 feedback (search for numbers is sadly not working too well on these forums), instead of the e-mail listed in the beta.

Scary... ehh, it can get a bit scary, but only if you let yourself be overwhelmed...
Like, robots will jump at you and hang on you and punch you and that kinda stuff. But honestly, as long as you dont panic, youll be fine. And if you have your vive head straps setup properly and wearing your wrist straps, you shouldnt be breaking anything :D

probably never, frankly, i hope it never does.
If it did, it would be too easy to train and avoid the bots and make it too easy...

Played this game a wile back 10/10 would play again and no i don't won a VR system...yet.
Steam/Valve: send me a free VR system Please so i can test out thees games more!
