Wand and Weapon
I know all resources are likely going into BG3 right now, but I'm disappointed I can't wield a wand in one hand and hand weapon in the other. It feels like the easy balance would be that wands used while dual-wielding don't leave puddles of their element and the special ability is simply toggling between melee and ranged mode.

Another option would be the wand granting the ability to enhance the melee weapon for a few rounds, making single-hand builds more viable in melee.

This seems like it'd be a relatively straightforward and make a melee-mage playstyle far more viable than it presently is.

Problem is, you're still going to be using two attributes for scaling there and that simply isn't effective to begin with. The only reason I can see it being worthwhile is to have a wand for making surface effects like an air wand for electrifying a surface, while retaining the melee weapon for using Warfare CC abilities. Otherwise the stat scaling makes it unviable pretty much no matter how you work it.

I mean. In DE the best "wands" are just the illuminator and fang of the winter dragon which are just melee weapon stat sticks,
