How I dealt with Kniles
Hi everyone, as a player new to D:OS 2 (but having played D:OS 1 and BG3 before), I thought, as there are so many "how to defeat Kniles" questions here, I just share how I finally, after several attempts, managed it at level 3 in Classic mode, with a probably sub-optimal party (a custom cleric, The Red Prince, Fane, and Sebille). Well, I positioned them all in the lower area to the left of Kniles, near one of the cages with the meat golems, then initiated combat by teleporting the golem out of the cage directly in front of Kniles and one of the monks (my avatar char has gloves that grant the teleportation skill - not sure where I found them). After cooldown, I teleported Kniles into that cage, and from there it was pretty easy (Kniles can be attacked through the cage, but he can't break out of it). It was also particularly helpful that the meat golems and the silent monks then fought each other. In some discussions here, it's described as a bug, but I think it may be meant to happen if you free a golem?

I suppose that this can't be called an exploit either but is probably meant as a valid way of solving that fight, as Kniles has even specific lines when locked in the cage, like "I command you to let me out", "open that door now" or something like that.

Never knew Kniles had specific lines if he was caged. Interesting. I always just sat on the high ground at the back of the room, Aggro’d him then just blasted them one by one as they ran from across the room. I’d put water everywhere and keep electrifying it when they’d get deep in the middle of the water area and use that to CC lock stuff. Often would do the whole fight without taking damage.

fortify before fight starts.. and dont atack the silence monks until later.. deal with kniles first..
the silent monks will fight those flesh-monsters. till you start attaking them. or the flesh-monster died.
