Books and availiable lvl?
Hi at the DOS 2 wiki their is the page with all the books and so on. but most books when i click on it - their is no describtion after wich lvl i can buy them.

is it possible to get source books at the end of act 1 from vendors if i skill 3 points into those skill trees. i can remember skin graft is availiable at lvl 9 from exter or how his name was...but not other books. its been over a couple years i played. i would like to use some combined spells for dallis. at the ship doing again an hounor walk without any mods or so. thats why i ask.

Your skill has nothing to do with what is made available. Just level and vendor defaults. Act one specifically doesn't have vendors marked to sell source books, so none of them ever should to my knowledge. Exter might be an exception as he leaves the island and joins you on the ship, just like Garreth does as well.

Its all level based though. I think levels 4, 9, 13 and 16 are the levels where new books become available.

True for most vendors, but a few fort joy vendors won't ever sell lvl 9+ books no matter your level.

Yeah, that's kinda what I mean by "vendor defaults" in there. Nebora for instance, will always sell a green ring every restock. Her stuff never gets better than that. Some vendors are just set to a specific loot table and that's what they'll sell, regardless of player level.
They will still sell lvl 4 books once you get lvl 4 but not before, they just never sell lvl 9+ books. Those guys are weird.

The reason Exter and Garreth can sell them is because they both get on the ship with you and Garreth doesn’t get restrictions on his inventory as you can keep him around all game long. The other vendors of the first act have restrictions on what they can offer, specifically preventing gear from scaling past a certain rarity or source books from appearing in their inventory. That’s one reason the merchant Feder that can be saved from their flaming pig form can be so good as they don’t have such restrictions in place. Once you hit level 9, I believe legendary tier gear starts to spawn and that vendor is the only one in all of the first act capable of offering it.
