I get a "Nvidia graphics chips are not officially supported" message whenever I open the game. That may just be Mac ones though, since I heard Apple and Nvidia had a falling out.
Although, the only graphical problem I seem to have is square shaped lighting issues in inside areas like caves and, yes, the starting spot.
EDIT: Update to this: Seems my OS version was part of it. Upgrading to Catalina fixed most of that in the starter ship. I haven't checked a cave yet as I'm starting fresh.
As for Online features, what does it show in the Gameplay section of your options, at the top, when you use Keyboard & Mouse? On mine there is a Multiplayer section where I have it set to Offline, but its changeable.
First off, have you done the usual troubleshooting steps of first verifying the game cache, then reinstalling if that fails? Have you then tried to make sure your drivers are up to date? Basic things like this can cause issues with programs running on your machine. Also worth making sure you’re running sufficient specs for what the game demands. I mention these things because you didn’t say anything about them yourself.
There’s more advanced things like making sure your power settings aren’t throttling your hardware and stuff like that.
100% the error(s) is on your end.
And I think by default the game is set to Offline, you can change that in settings > Gameplay.
you can play it offline aswell wich i do.. it makes wierd think when i try to log in.. i played it only offline
The issue is a pined post from devs an has been an issue since release with hundreds of questions about it.
If my computer is a potato then nothing short of a I9 9090 a 09090ti an TB of ram is standard.
My computer is far above spec and running fine.
If you had read the post all steps related the problem that the dev team and community have known about since release have been addressed and suggestions from the dev teams pinned post on the matter have been taken and made the problem worse.
You are really bad at IT don’t quit ya day job.
and lol calling anything you said advanced is like calling opening ones eyes in the morning a lifetime achievement
quote=Chaoslink;4414173015257502911]First off, this is 100% a problem on your end, not the game. If this issue was posted all over this forum thousands of times, you might be able to blame the game, but it’s not a massively common issue, so that indicates an issue on your end. What that issue is remains to be seen.

No 12 is not a thing and I’ll never use 11
Its online by default unless you doing splitscreen. no online multiplayer in splitscreen
don't quit trying to solve this problem yourself
and mocking people who try to help you after you ask is,... wait it's pretty basic to not do that. I guess it's too advanced for you.
By nvidia, you probably mean nvidia geforce experience, or do you mean the nvidia control panel? I've never used geforce experience and opt out of the install every time.
Go into the nvidia control panel, go to the change resolution tab and make sure that the output color depth: is 8 bpc or 10 bpc and NOT 12 bpc as 12 bpc will cause shaders to crash the game.
At the top of nvidia control panel click on the help tab, and click debug mode so that it has a check next to it. This disables manufacturer overclock which are sometimes unstable, and may only effect a few, or one game.
You could also try to perform a clean install (there is a checkbox) and reinstall the latest
Do you have any overlays or fps limiting software running that could interfere with the game?
Your computer is fairly new. Did you install your chipset drivers?
I usually only restart explorer.exe after a memory leak messes it up, but when that happens it can mess with drivers too, and a full restart is always better. steamwebbrowser currently has, (and has always had) a memory leak issue that they're probably never going to fix. Restart your pc and don't have a ton of tabs open in steam overlay
Sorry, but the problem obviously has to be on your end of the bargain
