There is a Build source port that incorporates GZDoom technology. It's called Raze[raze.zdoom.org], and it's pretty good.

Running Build Engine game on Doom Source port , I can't imagine a mess of a code that will appear.

Raze is one of the common ways to run Build games. There's also BuildGDX which is Java based which has to be even worse code wise. But all 3 run better than the Steam version.
