No "Superhuman"?
I've beaten 7 levels on all difficulties without any checkpoints, but I didn't get this achievement. Worth to say that I've used checkpoints once in a level just to learn it, but I've beat it without checkpoints afterwards.

my guess is the achievement now requires the 8th level as well, and the description didn't get edited

Have you turned of checkpoints? On Insane a restart will count as using a checkpoint if checkpoints are turned on. How high is the level count in the achievements?

Level count in the achievements is 7. Also no checkpoints, they are off and have been off for quite a long time.

Nope. I just beat level 7 on insane and got Annihilator and Superhuman. Now I have to practice Level 8 to beat it at least on normal without checkpoints to be able to get Marathon.
