If anything, this game deserves a remake.

I will not support this game. I have played a little over a hour, and that hour is more than I needed to play. My gripe isn't with the combat, because I do truly believe that it has its merits. But, the dialogue is something that I cannot enjoy. Mainly, the dialogue between velvet and her brother. Now I don't remember if they're step-siblings or not, but that doesn't matter to the point I'm making. I want to specificly bring attention to the weird "love" conversation between them. They danced around the topic of who they actually liked, and, in my opinion, the writers were clearly setting it up for him to be in love with velvet. Now, I hope I don't have to explain why its weird, because they're ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ siblings. Even if you have the argument that Japan has different customs and that its "not weird" I implore you to go outside and talk to people, because defending liking your sibling is weird. However, I do believe that you could still keep this conversation and have it be enjoyable. Instead of being a weird incest thing, give Velvet a love interest and give her inner dialogue being embarrassed. It would solve the problem of them dancing around the topic, solving my issue with the conversation. Velvets motivations of revenge could still work in this version because they are still siblings. I know I would want revenge if my father figure killed one of my siblings. But, what do I know? I'm just here to voice my opinion. (Sorry if i get some stuff incorrect because I played this in march.)

Grindfest. The grind (that you can skip with paid DLC cheatcodes) is not worth enduring. Characters/skits are good, better than Arise. Gorgeous art style that holds up.

Tales games have been up there as one of my favs and this is best example, the dark story leading to zests game and combat always love it being fast only wish Tales of the abyss got a remaster would so love to play that again.
