Hello everyone, I decided to buy Tales of Berseria recently out of nostalgia ( Symphonia was one my favorite games on gamecube <3 ) and I love the game so far, but I had a question regarding the gameplay and hard difficulty.

I've searched a bit on those steam discussions and the main tendency is that the game is considered easy, even in hard difficulty. In my current save, after 20 hours i've reached the point where we meet the Grimoire character, Magilou's malhak friend in the island that gives summer/southern vibes and I've been playing on hard mode, but I don't find it especially easy ?

As a matter of fact, some fights almost feel unfair given that I've died a few times in random encounters where random mobs basically destroy my whole squad. x) And I don't think I've beaten a single "dangerous encounter" fight.

Now, I've never been really stuck so far, I sometimes need to retry some boss/mini-boss fights but I manage to clear them. The "real" problem is that it happens rather frequently that a random fight while exploring kills me, and as a result, I quick save quite a lot. x)

My team is level 23 and the mobs are level 34, is this level gap intended ? Am I the only one that loses random fights while exploring the zones ? What am I doing wrong ?
