I agree more could have been done with them. It's just that at the time the game was released, I didn't think much of it and didn't even consider the possibility of adding content updates or DLC or anything along those lines.
I'm glad you were invested in this part of the game, thanks for your message!
And well if you ever feel the demand is there, you could always do a collection of the stories, Revamp the stories so that the players have a bit more control of the scenarios and you can actually develop the lore and do more with the characters this time? Ultimately it doesn't change the ending point for the main character, but she could leave more of a legacy behind in those she didn't have to save, but did..? I mean, like with Fennel, if you convinced her you weren't an enemy by sparing her after the fight? You could have a section using her going to deal with opposition that could have gotten in the MC's way. Just little things like that, things that extend the story and give more depth to her. Heck, change it so she faces her sister instead or she shows up for the battle with her. I mean, doesn't have to be complicated, you know? The game as it stands could do SO much more and be that much more satisfying.
Have those decisions be reflected in the later stories. Like descendants being around to help, or have new sections where you're using them in order to aid the main character, when they're stuck. Anytime you have stories set in the same timeline, it's opportunity, especially if what a person does has such a huge effect on the future.
Sorry for the rambling and anyhow. I'm no dev, but what I am is a role player, so i'm constantly looking at games and asking, if I do this, or what if I chose this option.. how could that have changed things? What could make this experience even better? I definitely don't want to tell you how to make your games, I'm just offering my two pennies, however much they're worth.
