Mod: BGM loop
Here is a simple solution (not the best but effective) to fix the BGM loop problem.
Extract the content in your Way of the Samurai 3 folder.

Nice! Do you have any other mods?
Melankolio 14 Jan, 2021 @ 8:38pm
I'm working on it!
Are you looking for something specific?

I love this game but could never get into this PC port because of the music not looping. So I thank you good sir.

You are very welcome! Have fun!

Upscaled textures look really good, though I would recommend toning down the scar a bit, in the original it looks like an older scar while the upscaled version looks a bit odd.

Looking forward to seeing it release, and thanks for the BGM fix!

You're totally right about the scar.
It was my first try with an AI Upscaler.
Since that picture, I've discovered a whole new world of things to learn about upscales...

@Prizorgus Do you have any gameplay mods, or any mods that import new models
(For example, from other Spike games like Way of the Samurai 1, 2, & 4, Samurai Western, Tenchu, & Shinobidou, or games by other developers such as Ghost of Tsushima)?

Or mods that edit existing ingame models; would like to see the Samurai in the red armor that you can befriend, but with the Bearded Samurai head that some Men in the Ouka gang & Fujimori clan have.

That's some good nightmare fuel lol.

@Prizorgus Is that the bearded Samurai head I mentioned before, on the main character's body?

The models in the Way of the Samurai games always seem to be in a weird format; My theory is that both the gameplay model & cutscene model of a character are stored in the same file, at the same co-ordinates, causing this weird overlapping/clipping.
Then, I think the game engine either makes one invisible & the other visible as & when it needs it. Either that, or the engine changes the co-ordinates of the model it doesn't need, so they're no longer clipping.

@Zach Fett Yeah, if anyone ever makes a J-Horror mod, that would fit the bill.

@Jamould Yes, that's his head on the main.
I keep searching to fix that. Thank you for your potential solutions

You should check out the Zenhax & Xentax forums, there's lots of knowledge on those type of things.

I know them but thanks!
Jamould 15 Apr, 2022 @ 11:36am
No problem.
If you manage to get this working, you should do one with the bearded Samurai head on the red armor Samurai body (Like the man you can befriend near the recent battle),
& one with the the bearded main character head (the one that's in your picture in the original post) on the same red armor body.
