I was wondering if this game is dead?

Just started playing and I am getting some crazy crackling sounds in my ears constantly on the ship and in game and it seems like the only thing in the "options" menu is an on/off switch for music? TotalBiscuit would be rolling in his grave if he knew about this options Menu!...

I am playing on my rift s and I don't have a lot of room to move but there is no way for me to play this game without slamming my hands through my TV. I have started the tutorial and everything is too far forward that the teleporter is just outside my guardian close enough that I know I'm not going to slam into anything, but everything else is way to far away, to the point that if I attempted to interact with them I would put my hand through my TV. Is there a way to move the games central area backward so ...
