You're not the only one, they had to put a disclaimer on the original Xbox 360 box that it wasn't in any way related to the George Romero movie Dawn of the Dead.

I was thinking of the original, and did not know there was a remake.

1978 version and 2004 version.

The 70's Dawn of the Dead is a classic. Devs likely were inspired even if they had to claim they weren't on the box to avoid legal issues with Romero at the time. Even down to hiding on top of the mall in a small sealed room, helipad on top etc. Since Romero passed the original movie is now public domain for those who haven't seen it. You can watch Romero's Dead movies free on youtube whenever.
