While I will admit that I think many more users are probably going to look at the Wikia version, the Gamepedia version looks much more professional and polished, although you'll need to become a pro user to fully remove ads.

Gamepedia has ~400 pages of information, Wikia has ~15....

Most pages on gamepedia are blank. Devs please endorse a wiki.

I'm a fan of Gamepedia
No offense, but there really need to be an official PH wiki. I fear that unofficial status of wikis may have a potential to turn away potential editors who may find comfort in official status of a wiki.

More to the point, we really need to consolidate the wikis. Two wikis mean we are dividing our resources (namely our time and effort), which is not efficient. We need a central wiki at this point.

I strongly recommend to the SomaSims/Kasedo that they consider setting up an official wiki for Project Highrise.

I should also emphasize that I am not suggesting that unofficial wikis be shut down in favor of a official wiki. On the contrary, I say keep them. But I think we should direct all of our time and effort at this moment to an official, central wiki for now.

In future, perhaps we can expand the unofficial wikis at some point. There is a good reason to have multiple wikis for a given game, only after official and central one is sufficiently developed, because they all may have different organization and layout that may appeal to different players.

For now, we should concentrate all of our time and effort into a single wiki. And, frankly, I think it would be difficult to agree on which one of two unofficial wikis. For that reason, I made my recommendation about an official wiki.

Both wikis are very badly out of date. This post should really be unpinned.

I am not familiar with Gamepedia, but Wikia should be copylefted under Creative Commons for redistribution. The point of copylefting wikis is so that they can be easily downloaded, copied, redistributed, merged, modified, etc., without any concern for copyright, as long as they maintain attribution to contributors. So there is no need for an official version if content can be merged and copied between multiple copylefted versions (and neither domain is owned by the game developers, so neither can really be official). But an official wiki can be created by the developers on their own domain, simply by copying content from copylefted projects such as Wikia, though they would need to maintain the copylefted Creative Commons license.
