I really like this style of nancy drew game, is there anyone who knows of any other nancy drew games that are similar to this one?

I just bought this game as part of the Nancy Drew Collector's Edition pack during the sale. I downloaded it and can't open it. I did try uninstalling and deleting local content, but it didn't help. I have Windows 8.1.

I'm at the maze and have to give the Greek statues some items. At this part, I tried to adjust the screen ratio settings and the game closed unexpectedly. My game progress was saved but the items in the inventory have disappeared! Now I can't progress with the game. I've tried undo-ing the setting changes I've made but no dice I can only think of restarting the game but I'm so far in and have unlocked the special achievements already....

I HAVE PAID AND DOWLOADED the said game but every single time I press play nothing materializes it just wont play. Now ive deleted it and reinstalled again for the same result... Can anyone help im going potty trying to get it working. G A M E WONT PLAY...
