I don't know if I can help to solve this, though. I don't know why visual novels have such poor performance sometimes. You wouldn't expect it. Even in one with as relatively advanced graphics as this, it shouldn't be anywhere near as taxing as a modern 3D game, right?
FYI, they made the animation in Vol. 3 even more detailed. I don't mean the H-scenes, specifically. All of them. They aren't as smooth for me as in the previous volumes. I wonder if the different engine has something to do with it, too. I don't know. But fair warning for you.
FYI, NEKO WORKs used the "Kirikiri Z" VN engine and "M2" E-Mote system for this; both of those can potentially contribute to any performance issues, though I don't know to what extent they do. For Vol. 3, they switched to the "CatSystem2" engine.
Same as I had, coincidentally enough.
(Note: "." is the thousands separator here. In the US, we use ",") For those not familiar with the Chilean Peso, that's about USD $40, GBP £34, EUR €37. Though I imagine the cost of living must be lower there.
USD $700, GBP £560, EUR €620.
Definitely.
Wait, you know it doesn't support i3, but you've tried i5? I wouldn't think that would work either. Also, isn't emergency shutdown usually because of overheating? If it works at all, then theoretically it should be possible to do something about the heat, though the solution might be expensive.
Firstly, point your mouse to the uppermost screen (when fullscreen, if not then it's right below the white Border of the game)
then, after you see the tiny bar appear
go to advanced setting (enable it from help section).
From there just go Video Rendering Method > Auto
You can also change some settings to fit your PC spec, and also apparently it was set to layer for me, and it lag like alot (for a gaming PC). Again sorry for necro-ing (also glad it helped).
