I'm 5 seconds into the game, it says "walk close to the fire and press X to interact." The little icon pops up over my head and I am hitting the X button as hard as I can but nothing's happening.

Beyond the big frog area, after solving the puzzle I use the candle to frighten the two wakas who stand on the roof and talk. They two are supposed to run below the giant fish, so that I can cut the rope the fish is hanging from and scrumble them. But in my game only one of two wakas runs away. The other one gets frightened, but then he starts to jog in place and doesn't seem to be able to leave his place. I'm unable to progress any futher. Is this a known bug/issue? Is there any workaround?...
