Quest : Heroes All, how to do?
Trying the new quests and I seem to be stuck with "Heroes All". According to the note I'm supposed to light a candle at each grave, but all I can do is read the signs on the grave, there's no candle or anything that I can light and using my own candlesticks doesn't seem to do anything.

Did I miss something or is this quest not fully working/implemented?
Any ideas anyone?

You need to clear the dead ivy, using your candle.

Aha! Thank you. Just tried that and it worked, strange though because earlier I couldn't interact with it at all even while holding a candle

At the moment this quest is bugged: If you die after lighting all candles, in right order, you can load but the candles are still lit and you can't light them again.

Also, question for the devs; is there an actual reward for completing this quest?

Oh, that's weird. Thank you for your feedback !
Can you send us your save file at support@ghostofatale.com to help us reproduce that bug ?

i can't light up candles in right order because some of it already lit (without my help)

perhaps do not need to clear obelisks from dead leafs until you understand right order of ignition?

is it possible to "snuff"/blow out candles?

Yes, unfortunately we had an issue with the last version of the game and the candle quest half lit.

I Suggest you to continue the quest, find the remaining obelisk, burn ivy and lit candle:
This time the wind will unlit everything and you can restart the quest from step 1 without any glitches.
Sorry again for the inconvenience !

Where do I get that quest? I found several of the obelisks, burned the ivy, and tried to lit the candles (which didn't work). I used the candle cap to burn the ivy and light the candles.

There should be a chest at one of the pillars (the first one you see to your left as you cross the bridge towards the tower) it contains a journal which starts the quest after reading it, if I remember correctly

Thanks for the hint! I guess I missed that chest...

Ok, I loaded my save game, found the chest, and got the quest. I lit up two candles around the tower and found that all five candles on the northern slopes were already lit. I then managed to lite the two remaining candles around the tower. Now all candles are lit and the quest progress is at 4/9. Is there any way to recover from this situation?

You may have still a glitch there.
Are all nine candles are lit ?
because if in the slope area you have still unlit candles, try to burn it, and the quest will reset to 0/9 and your session is back to normal.
If all 9 candles are lit and the quest unfinished, please send us your save file at support@ghostofatale.com
We will fix that.

Thank you for the feedback, Phaedrus! I'm quite confident that all candles are lit. I think, I checked each candle twice.

Does anything happen once you light them all? I thought maybe the door to the tower would open, but it's still shut tight, and I haven't noticed anything different in the area.

No right now there is no consequences/reward for that but that's due to the early access status.
Of course, in the final release, you will have surprises ^^.

That's good to know. Is the same true of some of the other quests that seem pointless right now, like the apiary one? Also, related topic, does renown have a purpose? I haven't finished the game as it is yet (currently trying to find the last few shrooms for Expert Mycologist before talking to S about going down to spider town), so I don't know if it's something that has a purpose yet, or if it's just meaningless numbers until the final release, or what.

If it does currently have an actual purpose, should I try to get as much as possible for a better ending or something, or is there a certain point past which it's just for bragging rights? I currently have 2675, and I'm wondering if it would be a waste of time to burn the remaining banners in the more heavily guarded areas.
