Game crash on travel to Zaton

So i have Call of pripyat Complete installed and the mod is nice and all but everytime i try to travel to zaton the game crashes!

I know the mod causes problems so no need to tell me that, i was a fool to install it.

The Question however is this, is there someway to circumwent this? If i uninstall the Complete mod will i be able to play the game still? Or does it remove something critical from the game? As far as i see it only adds a graphical overhaul into the game and nothing else. And i tried turning off the autosave function and tried to teleport using the Wishgranter but it didn't work.

Would you suggest Misery? And does it change the map and quests or is it more of a graphical overhaul with some minor adjustments to combat?

I have stumbled upon this workaround: ALT+TAB your game when loading screen occurs, wait for as long as your game normally loads, then change back to game, I have only tested it when loading a save game directly from the man menu.

... That actually worked... I had the crash issue when traveling to Zaton too, tried a ton of fixes and none worked... and tabbing out of the game and waiting till it loads actually works...

I'm rather WTFed right now but huge thanks for finding that fix.

Hmm, well, i am rather WTFed as well. Xray Engine is an anomaly itself but this is some next level randomness. Glad to have stumbled upon this fix! Thanks!
