How can I turn off motion blur?
How can I do it? It's completely unplayable, and graphic's options are lack of these most important options like Antialiasing, motionblur etc? Is there a way to change it in game files through notepad?

Change post-processing to off
Slayer Seraph 9 Aug, 2017 @ 1:47pm
Set Post Processing to Low
It will remove the aggressive Film Grain, disable chromatic Abberation (color and image distortion ), remove motion blur. And sharpen the image. Plus you get lots fps back.
It will also disable the Ambient Occlusion, unfortunately.

It seems to get rid of some of the AA but not all of it. The developers need to step up and release more Graphics options to toggle and change.

At the moment there is no sure way to get rid of that annoying super blurry/smudge Anti Aliasing....

AA is just too heavy and mames the image worse

Well some of these effects are really cool, but i freakin hate this motion blur, and yeah it burns lot's of fps. I've set Post P-sing to low and yet there are fps drops in some parts... Guess We'll have to wait for some patch until this time game is tottally unplayable... :(

If you want to get rid of the motion blur and color fringing open scaleability.ini in notepad and add the following:

[PostProcessQuality@3]
r.MotionBlurQuality=0
r.SceneColorFringeQuality=0

If you want to disable then youl need to open Engine.ini in notepad and add the following text and save:

[SystemSettings]
r.Tonemapper.GrainQuantization=0
r.Tonemapper.Quality=0

I ordinarily despise chromatic aberration and film grain...BUT, this game is the exception. There is a plot based reason for things to look really weird. And the effects are not always on, they only get bad when her psychosis really acts up.

I want to leave the film grain and abberation on. I especialy love film grain in games. I detest motion blur though. Need to be able to disable JUST the motion blur while leaving everything else on very high.

good topic, thank you.

I gotta say though that this game is one of the few examples of adequate motion blur usage

There is no adequate motion blur usage! Every motion blur is bad for your eyes, and people who put that in game should go minimum 5 year prison!

motion blur is suppose to 'simulate what happens when turning your head' - but they forget an important fact: your eyes move as your head turns, effectively eliminating any blur from movement (and other things). in other words, it is a fairly pointless effect that just distracts from gameplay, kills fps, and makes things harder to see than should be the case (and causes migraines for some people so there should really be an option to turn it off easily in EVERY game that uses it for that reason).

also can not find the scaleability.ini

You can find it via: C:\Users\NAME\AppData\Local\HellbladeGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor

FYI, this trick works perfectly but the file name is actually "scalability.ini".
Searching with the correct name helps :)
