Adventure Mode is the default game mode in Junk Jack. If you want to discover all 12 of the planets in the game, you will need to do it through Adventure Mode. Unlike stand-alone planets, which are planets that the player specifically chooses to start on, planets in Adventure Mode contain Portal Chests underground. Breaking a Portal Chest will give you one portal piece. Once you find three matching portal pieces, you can place them in a specific pattern to create a portal to another planet. Different planets in Adventure Mode contain different Portal Chests, and you will have to travel to many different planets in order to discover all 12 of them. As you discover new planets, you will be given the option to generate them as stand-alone planets in the world creation menu. However, because only planets in Adventure Mode contain Portal Chests, you cannot use stand-alone planets to find Portal Chests.
