[Guide] How to get a star rank on boss stages

With the following setup, boss stages get a lot easier.

Use these cheats: Bullet Speed -5%, Bullet Speed -10%, Bullet Speed -15%, Extra Heart 1, Extra Heart 2, Foes Drop Hearts
Use these handicaps: Pacifist Mode, No Death-Bombs, Attack -5%, Attack -10%, Attack -15%
Character: One with fast movement speed, e.g. Dry No Legs; Weapon/Outfit: any.

Explanation: Even though the multiplier is below 1.0, you'll get a two-star rank thanks to Pacifist Mode if you survive. It doesn't matter how many hearts you lose. The slower bullet speed makes stages much easier. The fact that you don't have to shoot actually makes it even easier to navigate the screen. The -Attack doesn't matter at all since you are not shooting, but it improves you multiplier. No Death-Bombs doesn't matter since you can't bomb in Pacifist Mode anyway. The extra hearts means you can get hit at least 5 times and still pass. With this setup, "hard" becomes about as difficult as "normal", and "heavenly" becomes about as difficult as "hard".

Do you know how Pacifist Mode gives bonus rank if it's not by multiplying your score somehow?

If you're going for movement speed, regular NoLegs is the only "fast" character with a costume that increases movement speed. I think that makes him optimal for Pacifist?
