Hi, I’m planning to marathon the Ty series for the first time in years sometime in the near future. But before I play Ty 3 for the first time ever (I’m from the UK, and we never got any version of #3 over here back in the day) -
- I’ve got a question for people that have beaten it in its new Hardcore mode. Specifically, those who did so on their first playthrough.

That being, do the achievements for beating Normal mode once, "All Done", and 100%ing it in said mode, "Done and Dusted", stack with their Hardcore counterparts?

Which, unlike the previous two games, have unique names; “Horror Movie” for beating Hardcore once, and “It’s a Long Way to the Top” for 100%ting it.

yeah all achievements can be done in a hc run (all ty games). however the final boss in ty 3 is insanely hard if not impossible to normally do in hc. only way to win is to cheese it by using a specific combination of stones for your rang to make you invulnerable while you stand still. forgot what the combo was but you can google it.

The combination of stones might be three warp stones, as it gives you a shield which saves you from a couple hits.

Cheers for the response and advice, mate (also, awesome userneame btw). I'll keep both in mind whenever I wanna start my marathon.

As for when that will be? Probably sometime next year, as that's when #2, aka the last entry Brits like me could play at the time (well, without importing Ty 3 from either the States or Australia, then modding the console I wanted to play it on, anyway), will be turning the big 2-0. But if don't get round to it then, it'll definitely be if Krome announces a Ty 5 someday.

Hi, remember when you gave me this advice last summer? Well, I'm finally in the mood to start my marathon of this series, all on Hardcore mode when possible (so every game besides 4, since it doesn't have it).

Mainly because Ty 2's turning the big 2-0 this October 12 in the U.S., so here's hoping I get all of Ty 1's cheevos before then! If not, then I'll definitely be done before this November 5th, which will be #2's 20th b-day in Europe.

Ty 3’s by far the most annoying one to beat on that mode, due to its final boss being so bloody cheap! And that’s with me doing the exploits Frodo Swaggins and Laser Slime told me about!!
