Yes even the major VR companies want to see just one VR gold standard ...so game devs you too jump on the bandwagon and dont sepearate VIVE and OCulus communities please. IF VR succeeds we all benefit.

I'm pretty sure this is a bug in general; I noticed yesterday I had to switch hands when I started the game and when I quit, it showed my left controller in my right hand and vice versa.

It's playable..kinda. The main issue I had was not being to turn around using the thumbstick, so when facing enemies the sensors lose tracking. Other than that, the hand models are backwards, but it's a pretty fun game. I would wait until they add turning before playing though.

That's not an Oculus thing, I have a Vive, and when I ran it, the hands were reversed, too.

Reverse hands is a common thing, the game lack an option in the menu to simply swap them (same as in some other games). But anyhow, it is simply solved by just swapping the controllers :)

cannot simply swap hands with an oculus touch they are made for each hand

I have a rift and vive. My wife plays this on vive and I play with her on rift with touch and it works well enough if you can get past the visual of your hands being backwards, it is only aesthetic, does not impact gameplay. Try it!
