If everything was working fine a few months ago, it's likely that a recent update to OBS or Windows caused the issue. In this case, you'll need to find a workaround. Try running the game as an administrator and ensure there are no background programs that might be causing a black screen, such as RivaTuner. Personally, I often encounter a black screen when running a game with RivaTuner. The workaround is simple – launch the game first, check if OBS is working properly, and then start RivaTuner. You might have similar applications causing issues on your system.
Most importantly, make sure to run OBS as an administrator.
I need game in game capture, because display capture is not convenient for me
Just this summer i was streaming it and it was workign in game capture without problm, now not works
If that doesn't work, you'll need to focus on OBS itself or consider checking background applications running within Windows. OBS has a Discord server with a very helpful community, so try seeking assistance there or visit the OBS forums where their tech support team can look into the issue. Finally, you can use Google and search for terms like "OBS Old Games Black Screen," etc. There are plenty of posts on Reddit or videos on YouTube that might provide solutions.
I know it's frustrating, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you'll find a solution.
