It might run this game, but I don't recommend running in fullscreen, I had problems with that.
I had to go into the steam folder, open the common apps section and delete all traces of the install and redownload.
What happened was I switched to full screen....and the screen blanked out, and continued to do so until I did a fresh install, no matter how many times I tried. I play windowed mode now.
Other than that, I had no problems setting upon a laptop far older than your notebook, but it did run very slowly. I wish you luck but I think a proper PC might be a good idea if you want to expand your steam account.
i cant play Disagea and Disgaea 2 help plis, y bougth yesterday xD
Even after you uninstall Disgaea there are still files left in the Steam/steamapps/common folder section. You need to delete those before you download again, and stick with windowed mode, this is the problem I had. I know fullscreen is better but after a while you dont notice.
The fix Trehek has given is much more common, OP will probably have more luck with that one.
It loads succesfully once, huh? So it's definitely a sound problem and may be somehow tied to permissions or file availability. What specs and OS are you running on? What is the primary language of your Windows? Did you install in the default location (program files on C:)?
Here are some generally useful things you could try:
* Flag the game executable dis1_st.exe to run as an administrator.
* If on Windows 10, also try flagging it to run in Win 7 compatibility mode.
* In the windows control panel's sound properties, try changing audio playback quality to CD quality. If the change doesn't help run the game, go ahead and change it back afterwards.
* See if you are running any capturing software, overlays or other programs that might interfere with the game and turn them off. This includes the Steam overlay. Turn it off for the game, see if it helps.
* Check for device incompatibilities. Disconnect any extra devices connected to your PC except for the bare minimum (mouse & kb). Try running the game.
Was having the issues where it would try and launch and then nothing after 2 seconds. THIS FIXED THE ISSUE. This helped for me and was super super easy to follow and found Thank you Trehek.
Then launch the game

I just installed the openAL thing from here:
https://www.openal.org/downloads/
